Maple is shutting down. Keep your family’s lists going in HopDrop.
Maple closes on December 31, 2026. If your household ran its to-dos and shopping lists there, HopDrop picks them up: shared to-do lists and grocery lists on one drag-and-drop board, linked so the shopping finishes the task. Free on iPhone and Android.

What HopDrop replaces — and what it doesn’t
Maple did a lot: calendar, school email, meals, lists. HopDrop does lists — to-dos and groceries — and does them well. Here’s the honest map.
| In Maple | In HopDrop |
|---|---|
| Shared to-dos | Yes Shared to-do lists with To do, On it and Done. Due dates, reminders, and a face on every task someone has claimed. |
| Shopping lists | Yes The heart of HopDrop: a drag-and-drop shopping board that sorts items into categories and syncs live with your household. |
| Project folders | Partly One to-do list per project, with templates for party prep, the house, trips, weekends and moving. |
| Recipe box | Partly Save favorite recipes and get ideas from what’s already in your pantry. Maple recipes can’t be imported. |
| Meal planner | No No weekly meal planner. Recipes add their missing ingredients straight to your shopping list. |
| Family calendar | No No calendar. Keep events in Google Calendar or Apple Calendar — both share with family for free. |
| School email inbox | No Not something HopDrop does. |
What HopDrop adds
- Groceries linked to tasks “Buy groceries for the party” gets its own shopping list in one tap. When the shopping’s done, the task ticks itself off.
- A pantry that restocks itself Finish a shopping list and everything you bought lands in the pantry, so nobody buys milk that’s already in the fridge.
- Dates in plain words Type “call the venue tomorrow 10am” and HopDrop sets the due date and the reminder.
- Reminders near the store An optional nudge when you pass a shop that sells something still on your list.
Move before December 31, in three steps
- Save your calendar first
Maple’s calendar connections end at shutdown. Make sure every event you care about lives in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook — HopDrop doesn’t do calendars, so that’s where they belong.
- Copy your lists while Maple still runs
Maple asks you to export your data, but doesn’t say what format lists, to-dos and recipes come out in. The safe move: screenshot or copy each list now, rather than in late December.
- Rebuild in HopDrop in a few minutes
Create a to-do list, type a task, press Enter and type the next — the keyboard stays up. Start from a template if it fits, then invite your household.
What it costs
One active shopping list and one active to-do list, on the same drag-and-drop board, with a pantry and recipe ideas.
Unlimited lists and sharing with your household. Starts with a 7-day free trial, then monthly or annual. On iPhone, works with Apple Family Sharing.
No ads on either plan, and we never sell your data.
Questions from Maple families
When does Maple shut down?
Maple closes on December 31, 2026, after being acquired by Wander. Accounts stay active until then; after that they are closed and can’t be accessed.
What happens to my Maple data?
It stays accessible until December 31, 2026. After that, Maple deletes it and it can’t be recovered — so copy anything you want to keep before then.
Can I import my Maple data into HopDrop?
Not directly — there’s no Maple import. Most families only have a handful of active lists, and HopDrop is built for fast typing: enter a task, press Enter, type the next one.
Does HopDrop have a family calendar?
No. HopDrop does shared to-dos, shopping lists, a pantry and recipes. For a shared family calendar, Google Calendar and Apple Calendar both work well and are free.
Is HopDrop free?
Yes. HopDrop is free with one active shopping list and one active to-do list. HopDrop Pro unlocks unlimited lists and sharing with your household, and starts with a 7-day free trial.
Does HopDrop work on both iPhone and Android?
Yes — HopDrop is on the App Store (iOS 17 or later) and Google Play (Android 8.0 or later), and a household can mix both.
Can my whole family use one subscription?
Sharing lists with your household is part of HopDrop Pro. On iPhone, Pro works with Apple Family Sharing, so your family group can share one subscription.
Bring your lists over this week, not on December 30.
It takes a few minutes, and it’s free to start.
